The sisters

Sisters don’t come cuter than 9-year-old Hannah and 6-year-old Haylee Pratt. Here Hannah is riding a paint named Whitehawk, and Haylee is on her favorite pony, Babe. Their mom, Trena, says the girls "eat, sleep and breathe horses." When they’re not trotting around their grandmother’s riding school or jumping in the arena, they’re playing with horses, talking about horses or pretending they are horses. The Pratt family feeds Southern States Select Horse Feed and have never had a horse in bad health.

Jordyn HarrisSouthern States helps save the day! Thanks to some quick thinking, the Southern States’ feed selector and a lot of loving care, the Kleins of Cynthiana, KY saved their filly during the early stages of founder. They noticed her limping and caught the condition just in time to treat her with "boots" and supplements, but she was fickle when it came to feeding. The folks at the Cynthiana Southern States location helped the Kleins go through the feed selector to find the Triple Crown Low Starch feed that the horse needed. Now everyone at their Syllvandell Farms is in top-notch health.

Can you say "cheese"? Ronnie Robertson of Russellville, KY sent us this cute shot of her great-niece, Jordyn Harris, and her friend, Mirage. Jordyn competes in 4-H barrel competitions and placed 12th this past year. Congratulations Jordyn! Mirage is owned by Jo Ann Hightower. She’s a retired AQHA roping horse who now spends her days enjoying trailriding through KY. Mirage is fed through the Russellville Co-op store.
