Millie Mills of Hedgesville, WV wrote in sharing a moving story. To help her during recovery from an illness her friend, Linda Elsie, gave her a miniature horse named Little Bit. Loving and caring for the horse helped Millie deal with her depression and aided in her recovery. Millie kept a diary and wrote a poem in honor of Little Bit’s helpful and healing ways. Here’s the poem and a photograph for your enjoyment.
Born a little bit soon…Just a little bit too small
Walks a little bit funny…Just a little bit happy
Just a little bit sad at times…Just a little bit of brown
Just a little bit of black…But being around Little Bit is like
A little bit of heaven…So, that is why I was named LITTLE BIT.
