| Southern States published its first Equine calendar in 2006. The calendar pictures were submitted by our patrons and were selected based on what we thought were the best of the best. All pictures received were greatly appreciated, and we suspect were taken in hopes of being part of the calendar. In many of the pictures your can feel the strong relationship between the owner and their horse. We have received a few comments on our choice for the July picture and how the flag was displayed. In retrospect, our selection criteria should have included flag etiquette. It was not our intention to be disrespectful to our flag, and we hope you understand we have learned from the comments we received. |
Becky Hall and her chestnut gelding, Private Topic, were champions in the Older Adult Amateur Hunter division at The Barracks in Charlottesville, Va. Private Topic is fed Legends® 12P from the Goochland, Va., Southern States store.
