Holiday Gif Horse Contest Winner

Congratulations to our Gift Horse contest winner Dee Ambrose-Stahl and her paint, Sky, whose story teaches us to never give up on our dreams.

As Dee puts it, "childhood dreams don’t often come true." But lucky for her, the dream she had held since the time she was a little girl — the dream of getting a horse — came true last Christmas. Her black and white overo, named Sealite’s Painted Sky, was a gift from her husband, Ron, and the answer to a lifetime of wishing.

In one of those offhand conversations that husbands and wives have and quickly forget, Dee mentioned to Ron that she always asked Santa Claus for a horse as a child, but only found disappointment when she woke up Christmas morning. Well, this was one offhand conversation that Ron decided not to forget. On the Saturday before Christmas he called Dee to come outside and there on a trailer was her gift, Sky, her dream come true. The two have been a happy team ever since.
